This policy describes what data the website amindi.org and its mobile application “Amindi” process, and why.

Data we process

  • Location (optional): If you press “Weather at my location” and allow access, your device’s approximate coordinates are sent only to our server, to find the nearest city. They are not stored and not shared with third parties. If you decline, the site works with a default city (Tbilisi) and lets you choose one by hand.
  • No account: Neither the site nor the app asks you to register, and neither collects personally identifying data (name, email, phone).
  • Server logs: Like every web server, ours keeps the technical details of a request for a short time (IP address, browser type, page requested), for security and to find faults.

Cookies and third parties on the website

The website is free and paid for by advertising. The following third-party services run on it and may process your data with their own cookies or similar technologies:

  • Google AdSense: advertising. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings; details in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent dialog before any personalised ad.
  • MGID and Monetag: advertising networks on the Georgian-language pages.
  • Yandex Metrica and TOP.GE: visitor statistics (how many people visit and which pages). The data is aggregated.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them.

The mobile application

The installed app shows the same pages as the website, but no advertising or analytics scripts load in it. The app uses location only as described above.

Data security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Children

The site and the app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above changes when we do.
